Please carefully read our Terms and Conditions here.  By employing Beurre’s services, you will be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Delivery/set up

The price for delivery is dependent on the nature of your cake (ie whether it is multi-tiered), as the larger the cake, more reinforcements and planning are required for delivery and set up. The distance between your venue and our kitchen also affects pricing. 

We are not responsible to any damage of the cake once set-up is complete. The customer is responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cakes/desserts at the venue. Cakes are heavy and require sturdy support. Optimal room temperature is 20 degrees, and if the cake is delivered several hours before the event, appropriate fridge space is highly recommended. 

Self- collection

The highest level of care is involved in ensuring your cake is well-supported (via cake boards and wooden dowels through your cake tiers). However, once the dessert transfers from Beurre to you, the responsibility also shifts, and you assume responsibility and liability for the condition of the dessert. 

Food allergies and intolerances

While we take the utmost care to fulfil your requirements and minimise risks, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from any ingredient that may affect certain food allergies.

The following ingredients are used in our kitchen:

  • Milk and other dairy products

  • Eggs

  • Nuts including but not limited to: peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, cashews, pistachios, hazelnuts

  • Wheat and Gluten

  • Food colourants

We recognise the seriousness of food allergies and we recommend that you contact us before you place an order to inform us of any food allergies that you or your party may have.  Beurre will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed or food items one may come in contact with while eating a product from our kitchen.

Changes to my order

We can accept changes to your order up to 14 days in advance. Changes made within 14 days may incur a fee to cover the reworking of a design or the loss of work that has already been completed.

QUOTES and Payment

Until Beurre has sent an invoice, your order is not confirmed and the date is still open to other orders. Our price quotes/estimates are subject to adjustment, and are valid for 30 days.

Clients are kindly requested to make their payment in full 7 days before their event and not before this. This gives you enough time to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen covid-related circumstances without affecting the baking/decorating schedule, and it also minimises the need to process refunds. Beurre only accepts payment via bank transfer. Beurre’s banking details will be included in your invoice. 

Cancellations

While our desserts are made fresh, we still need to purchase ingredients which are non-refundable to us. We also need to plan ahead of time and schedule your order’s requirements in with our other commitments. Furthermore, upon taking your order, we may have needed to decline another person’s. As such, if the order is cancelled within 14 days, we cannot refund your deposit or provide you with a credit.

In the event of a cancellation that takes place more than 14 days prior to your event, Beurre will provide a refund minus a $60 admin fee.

Cancellations or postponements due to Covid

Cancellations within 7 days

Your cake may already have been baked at this stage and decoration preparations may have commenced. As such, no refund will be provided. In this circumstance, Beurre is more than happy to come to a resolution with you to determine how to proceed.

Cancellations within 14 days

Please keep in mind that creating cakes and desserts takes many hours and involves multiple steps. As such, if designing, baking and or decorating have begun, these elements will be accordingly deducted from your refund, in addition to a $60 admin fee.
